Technical Source respects your privacy and is committed to protect the personal information that you share with us. Generally, you can browse through our website without giving us any information about yourself. When we do need your personal information to provide services that you request or when you choose to provide us with your personal information, this policy describes how we collect and use your personal information. Information Collection
Personal information means any information that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to: first and last name, email address, home, postal or other physical address, other contact information, title, birth date, gender, occupation, industry, personal interests, and other information when needed to provide a service you requested.
When you browse our website, you do so anonymously. We don’t automatically collect personal information, including your email address. We may log your IP address (the Internet address of your computer) to give us an idea of which part of our website you visit and how long you spend there, but we do not link your IP address to any personal information. Like many other commercial websites, the Technical Source website may from time to time use a standard technology called a “cookie” to collect information about how you use the site. Technical Source collects personal information when you send us a form on our website (a contact request, a job application, a resume, a referral or a request to talk to a person from our chat assistant), when you use certain Technical Source online products or services, or when you submit your personal information to Technical Source for any other reason. SMS consent or phone numbers will not be shared with any third parties.
Forms on Our Website
When you send a form on our website, the information you enter (and any resume you attach) is sent to our team by email and saved in the systems we use to manage candidates, clients and inquiries: our recruiting system (Crelate) and our own system, TS Workspace. We use it to answer your request, consider you for current and future opportunities, and follow up with you. If someone refers you to us, we receive your name and contact details from them, along with what they tell us about you.
With a form, we also receive a short note on how you found our website: the site or campaign link that brought you here, the first page you visited and when, how many pages you viewed and the industry you showed interest in. This is kept in your own browser until you send a form, and is not sent to us otherwise.
Our Chat Assistant
Our website offers a chat assistant that answers questions about Technical Source and our open positions. Its answers are generated by artificial intelligence (Claude, provided by Anthropic), so the messages you type are sent to that provider to produce a reply. Your conversation is kept in your browser tab and is not stored on our servers. If you choose to talk to a person, the details you enter and the conversation are sent to our team, as with our other forms. Please don’t share sensitive personal information in the chat.
Notice
When personal information is collected, we will inform you at the point of collection the purpose for the collection. Technical Source will not transfer your personal information to third parties without your consent, except under the limited conditions described under the discussion entitled “Information Sharing and Disclosure” below. SMS consent or phone numbers will not be shared with any third parties.
Your information stays in the United States: we store and process it in the U.S., through the service providers described under “Information Sharing and Disclosure.”
We will always give you the opportunity to “opt out” of receiving direct marketing or market research information. This means we assume you have given us your consent to collect and use your information in accordance with this Policy unless you take affirmative action to indicate that you do not consent, for instance by clicking or checking the appropriate option or box at the point of collection. Cookies and Tracking Technology

Our website also uses your browser’s own storage (local storage) to remember the industry you’re interested in, so we can show you the most relevant stories first, and how you found our website, as described under “Forms on Our Website.” This stays on your device; you can remove it at any time by clearing your browser’s data for our website.
If you prefer not to receive cookies while browsing our website, you can set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies and refuse the cookie when your browser alerts you to its presence. You can also refuse all cookies by turning them off in your browser, although you may not be able to take full advantage of Technical Source’s website if you do so. Technical Source does not disclose personally identifying information other than as described in this policy. Visitors can always refuse to supply personally identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities or services.
We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only:
- with service providers who help us run our business: website hosting, email, our applicant and client systems, our chat assistant’s AI provider and website analytics. They receive only the information they need and are bound to use it only for us;
- when you ask us to, for example when we present you to a client for a role you’ve agreed to be considered for;
- when the law requires it.
Data Security
Technical Source safeguards the security of the data you send us with physical, electronic, and managerial procedures. Every page of our website uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS) to protect data in transit. While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of sending or storing information over the Internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of the information you send us.
Children and Privacy
Our websites do not target and are not intended to attract children under the age of 13. Technical Source does not knowingly solicit personal information from children under the age of 13 or send them requests for personal information.
Third-Party Sites
Technical Source’s website contains links to other sites. Technical Source does not share your personal information with those websites and is not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to learn about the privacy policies of those companies.
