What It Means

A company's first U.S. biologics plant is a greenfield effort from start to finish: site development, process transfer, utilities, and a quality system built from scratch. Projects at this scale tend to succeed or slip depending on early decisions about design basis and how validation is planned. It also adds to the growing biologics manufacturing presence in the Southeast.
